Great Cats of Asia (GCA) – Responsible Conservation

The term ‘big cats’ usually refers to tiger, lion, leopard and Jaguar.  For our own reference we refer to the Great Cats of Asia (GCA) as being tiger, Asiatic lion, leopard, snow leopard and clouded leopard.

The issues of habitat encroachment, disturbance, poaching and trafficking, conservation management and wildlife tourism are all part of WildTiger’s brief in our efforts to conserve the GCA.

Through 2019 we’ll be adding to this online platform in reference to the above and underlying the crucial ecological roles the GCA play in ecosystems across Asia.
